Fielding Leaves Dogs

Taylor Fielding is now longer with the Saint John Sea Dogs.

The team announced this afternoon that Fielding has left in order to attend university in Ontario.

Fielding joined the Sea Dogs for training camp on a tryout basis. He appeared in three pre-season games and recorded one assist.

The Hampton, Ontario native came to the QMJHL after playing the past four season with the OHL’s Ottawa 67’s. He registered 22 goals and 33 assists in 227 career OHL contests.

Fielding’s departure means the Dogs have room for another 20-year old. Goaltender Sebastien Auger and forward Mark Tremaine are the other to overagers currently on the team.

Saint John begins the 2014-15 regular season tonight in Charlottetown.
