GAME DAY 38: vs Mooseheads

A preview of tonight's game between the Halifax Mooseheads and Saint John Sea Dogs...

Records: The Mooseheads are third in the Maritimes Division and ninth overall in the QMJHL with a record of 19-16-2-1 for 41 points. The Sea Dogs are second in the Maritimes and fifth overall with a 22-10-1-4 record for 49 points.

Last games: The Mooseheads are coming off a 5-1 win over the Charlottetown Islanders on New Year’s Eve. Philippe Gadoury scored twice while singles came from Jordan King, Vincent Watt and Samuel Leblanc added singles. Eric Brassard made 22 saves in the win. The Sea Dogs are coming off a 6-3 victory over the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles on New Year’s Eve. Adam Marsh had two goals while singles came from Nathan Noel, Matthew Highmore, Spencer Smallman and Mathieu Joseph. Sebastien Auger made 27 saves in the win.

2014-15 head-to-head: The Sea Dogs are 5-0-0-0 against the Mooseheads this season while Halifax is 0-4-1-0 against Saint John.

Last meeting: Dec. 6 at Scotiabank Centre when the Sea Dogs defeated the Mooseheads 3-1. Luke Green, Matthew Highmore and Mitchell Dempsey scored for Saint John while Timo Meier replied for Halifax. Sebastien Auger made 37 saves in the win while Zach Fucale made 20 in the loss.
